School Week Celebrations Turn Tragic At Tamale
What was meant to be a week of celebration for students of the School of Hygiene, Tamale, turned into mourning, when the vehicle they were using for a float run over one of the students, killing her in the process. The incident happened at Kanvili, a suburb of Tamale, about 300 metres away from the school.

Ministry establishes inquiry into Ashaiman shooting incident
The Minister of the Interior, Dr kwame Addo-Kufuor has set up a committee of enquiry to investigate the recent shooting incident involving the police and some drivers of the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU).

Squatters ejected from Accra Race Course
Structures housing several families described as squatters at the Accra Race Course were this morning demolished under police watch. The old Race Course near the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium is the site for the construction of a multi-million dollar five-star hotel by Cascade Development Limited.

Slave master arrested with 15 Kids
The Police at Bimbilla in the Northern Region last Thursday swooped on the slave camp of Alpha Abubakar Alhassan, a Fulani herdsman believed to be in his 50s, rescuing a number of children who were kidnapped, kept as slaves and subjected to inhuman treatment.
