Three people, consisting of a four-year-old child have been reported dead in a gory accident at Amanase near the Suhum stretch of the Accra-Kumasi highway.
The road carnage which took place very early Tuesday morning took place when a VVIP bus with registration number GL 527-14 containing about 43 passengers drifted off the road as a result of brake failing.
Several travelers on board endured major injuries, with some in critical condition and had been hurried to Suhum Government Hospital.
Averagely, 2000 people lose their lives in road crashes in Ghana.
Provisionary statistics on road traffic crashes from January to May 2020 shows that 5,465 accidents entailing 9,163 vehicles were reported, including that, 958 incidents of pedestrian knockdowns, 909 fatalities, and 5,703 injuries.
