4th Wave: Ghana’s death toll now 1,313

Four more deaths have been recorded bringing the country’s COVID-19 death toll to 1,313, the Ghana Health Service has announced.

Active cases now stand at 13,576.

While 133,190 recoveries have been recorded from the total number of cases recorded since mid-March 2020.

Regional breakdown of COVID cases:

Greater Accra Region – 82,380

Ashanti Region – 21,813

Western Region – 7,940

Eastern Region – 6,710

Volta Region – 5,720

Central Region – 5,258

Bono East Region – 2,744

Bono Region – 2,192

Northern Region – 1,787

Upper East Region – 1,597

Ahafo Region – 1,108

Western North Region – 1,049

Oti Region – 865

Upper West Region – 747

North East Region – 283

Savanna Region – 263
