The minority leader and Member of Parliament for Tamale, Hon. Haruna Idrissu says a Mahama led government will eschew nepotism and reduce the size of ministers when the party is voted into power using the Jane and John ticket in the 2020 general elections.

He made this known during the launch of the NDC’s manifesto in Accra. He outlined what the party will do if given the nod in the up coming elections.

“A John Dramani Mahama government will provide access to legal aid for the poor. This government will reduce the size of ministers unlike we have had an unprecedented 110 ministers. We will not run a government of family and friends.”

He also added that NDC will deal ruthlessly with corruption and will punish any government official who is found guilty of any corrupt practices.

“We promise to punish any official in any government. This government will make corruption a very high risk activity.”

Hon. Haruna Idrissu also revealed that the NDC government will review and certified some institutions to train lawyers to contribute to the development of the country. He also said that an NDC government will end seasonal and rain fed agriculture and other promises.
