Address the challenges in the voters register before December 7- NDC

The National Democratic Congress has called on the Electoral Commission to rectify the challenges in the voters register before December 7, 2020.

This comes on the back of some security and media personnel who could not find their names in the special voters list yesterday and may not be able to vote because they will be working at different places.

The Deputy General Secretary of the NDC, Peter Boamah Otukunor said the EC must ensure those issues are resolved before the elections day.

“It is important to identify the few challenges that have riddled this exercise and make sure you put measures in place to resolve it because most of the challenges that confronted the system if it should happen on election day, that will be a bit problematic.” he told Accra base Citi FM.

Special Voting took place yesterday, December 1, 2020 throughout the country.

This gave opportunity to media, security and EC personnel to vote because they will be working on December 7.

The personnel that took part in the exercise are Ghana Armed Forces, National Intelligence Bureau, National Security, Ghana Immigration Service, Ghana National Fire Service, and Information Services Department.

The others are National Ambulance Service, Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority, Prisons Service, Ghana Journalists Association, Ghana Police Service and National Media Commission.
