
Pierre Emerick Aubameyang has extended his stay at Arsenal by three years making him the most earning player at the club with a rise of his £200,000-a-week when he was bought from the Borussia Dortmund.
Aubameyang who become the captain of the team under Unai Emery signed the contract yesterday, Tuesday, September 15, 2020 putting to rest rumours of him leaving for another club.
Speaking after signing the three year deal he said “Signing for this special club was never in doubt. It’s thanks to our fans, my teammates, my family and everybody at this club that I feel like I belong here. We can achieve big things together. We have something exciting here and I believe the best is to come for Arsenal.”
Aubameyang, though 31 has shown that he still has speed and skills when he is on the field. He has scored 72 times in 111 appearances for Arsenal since he joined the club from Dortmund in 2018 including the 2 goals win over Chelsea at the finals of the FA Cup and also against Liverpool in the Community Shield game.
