COVID-19 cases drop to 2.6K; death toll now 1,158

As of 3 October 2021, Ghana’s active COVID-19 cases had fallen to 2,696, the latest figures from the Health Service indicate.

Of that number, 43 are critical and 119 severe.  

Some 82 new cases were confirmed within the period.                                                             

The death toll inched up to 1,158.

Since mid-March 2020, Ghana has recorded a total of 128,368 cases.

Of that number, 124,514 have recovered.

Greater Accra Region – 69,156

Western Region – 7,381

Eastern Region – 6,507

Volta Region – 5,182

Central Region – 4,656

Bono East Region – 2,540

Bono Region – 2,111

Northern Region – 1,722

Upper East Region – 1,454

Ahafo Region – 1,057

Western North Region – 1,003

Oti Region – 837

Upper West Region – 727

North East Region – 270

Savanna Region – 262
