The Electoral Commission has called on the public to disregard a video circulating on social media purported to be officials sharing new voter ID cards.
The EC says the video is false and explained that “During the just-ended registration exercise, a few centers experienced the production of duplicate ID cards, which resulted from registration kits bearing the same codes. This led to the printing of voter ID cards with similar numbers for different persons” hence they are replacing the cards to the affected people and are authorized and printed at the headquarters.
It however says the cards are been distributed at the district offices to the affected people and the listed is below:
