Muntaka Mubarak, the Member of Parliament for Asawase has advised the people of Kumasi not too vote for the New Patriotic Party because the NPP has taken them for granted and ignored them since it assume office.
The Minority Chief Whip said even though the NPP’s stronghold is the Ashanti Region, the party has not construct a single road in the region and they are even struggling to construct the majors roads they took loan for.
“Ashanti region has shown commitment to NPP but NPP has not shown gratitude. NPP has not shown that what the region has done they appreciate so they must take their vote away to teach them that if you’re NPP government and you disregard Ashanti region this is what is going to happen to you. I think when they do that any NPP government in future will take Ashanti region seriously,” he said.
The lawmaker is also accusing the government of gradually turning Kumasi in a village and had urge the residents to teach the NPP a lesson by voting them out of power.
Hon. Muntaka Mubarak is contesting in this years parliamentary elections and had been in parliament for about 14 years.
