Eno Barony wins best female rap act at AFRIMMA

One of Ghana’s female rappers, Eno Barony, has been named as the Best Female Rap Act at this year’s African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA).

She was the only Ghanaian to have won an award at the event after beating nine other acts in the continent.

In an Instagram post, Eno Barony dedicated the award to Ghana and thanked everyone that believed in her and said the award was a dream come true for her.

Some Ghanaians acts that were nominated are KiDi, Kuami Eugene, Efya, Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Kofi Mole, J. Derobie and Gospel sensation, Diana Hamilton.

Other continental acts nominated are Rouge and Nakai (South Africa), Candy Bleakz (Nigeria), Moonya (Senegal), Bombshell Grenade (Zambia), Muthoni Drummer Queen (Kenya), Rosa Ree (Tanzania) Keko (Uganda) and Askia from Cameroon.
