“Ghana will make the world proud after the elections”- President Nana Akufo-Addo

The President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo says the Ghana will be proud of itself and also make the world proud after the 2020 presidential and parliamentary elections.

The President at the first ever United Nations video recorded meeting at 75th session of the UN General Assembly at the UN headquarters, New York, United States.   

He said “At the end of the elections, we shall be proud of ourselves, Africa will have good cause to be proud of us, and the rest of the world will find lessons to learn from us,” 

Nana Akufo-Addo also called on the world’s organization must prioritize the crisis in Mali and collaborate with the ECOWAS to return power to civilian rule.

“It is incumbent on the UN and, indeed, all Member States to lend their support to the efforts being made by ECOWAS to restore normalcy to Mali, and help us defeat the scourge of terrorism.” he mentioned.

He also outlined the devastating effects of COVID-19 and asked the trial for a vaccine should be made available to the member states.
