Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West Constituency, Mrs Ursual Owusu Ekuful has said that she is satisfied with the electoral process in area.

Speaking to the media after touring the area, she said she was impressed with the process and the country is on its way to the most successful elections.

Mrs Ekuful said “People are casting their ballots, there are no issues with the biometric verification device, polling materials or the election officers. There is only one polling centre, the Step by Step centre where the Presiding Officer started the polls after 8:30 am but even with that, the Electoral Commission was aware of it. In every polling station, there was just a slight delay of the receipt of some voting materials. As I speak, I am fairly satisfied with the process and if things continue at this rate, we are on course to having the best election.  So far so good, no incident has occurred, we are hopeful that it will continue at the end of the day.”

She also said she is hopeful that she is winning the seat for the third time and the President too will win the presidential race.

“We have done our bit but the rest of it is in the hands of God. I am very confident that we will retain this seat and Nana Akufo-Addo will retain the Presidency based on our track record here. We have done a lot of developmental projects here in our four years. Every sector has been impacted under the leadership of President Akufo-Addo and the people appreciate it. All in all, most of the interventions by the government nationally; we have received our fair share and seen significant progress. Every aspect of the economy has been impacted by the good works of Ursula Owusu and the NPP. I am very confident that, based on my interactions with the people, they will retain me in parliament,”  she indicated.
