Samuel Dabo also known as Yaw Dabo said growing up as a child, he wanted to be a footballer but because his stature he had to chart the part of Acting.

Recounting his ordeal he said “I was always placed as a substitute due to the stature of the players, I will be asked to jog on the park with assurances of calling me in but by the time I realize, it will be about two minutes for the match to end. So I realized that path was not going to help me so I had to stop.”

The Kumawood Star has set up a soccer academy in his name as ‘Dabo Soccer Academy’. The academy is to help train the youth who are interested in the sport.

According to him not everyone wants a white-collared job so this soccer will help people interest in football.

“We’ve realised that not every young person wants a white-collar job. Everyone has a talent and that is the little we can do,” he said.
