Minister for Energy, John Peter Amewu seem to be causing an upset in the Hohoe Constituency of the Volta Region.
Elections results coming in indicates that he is leading in some polling stations in the constituency.
This will be the first time a New Patriotic Party candidate is leading in a polling station in the constituency which is a major stronghold of the opposition, NDC.
Results are still trickling in as counting is underway.
Ghanaians went to the polls on December 7, 2020 to elect a president and parliamentarians to lead the country in the next four years.
Over 17 million people took part in the exercise in over 33,000 polling stations.
