Journalist with accreditation can vote during the special voting

The Electoral Commission has clarified that only journalists with accreditation will be allow to take part in the special voting scheduled for tomorrow.

This was made known by the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Mrs Jean Mensah at a press conference in Accra today, Monday November 30, 2020.

She said there was a miscommunication over the list of journalists who are to take part in the special voting but that has since been resolved.

According to the EC boss, the commission has instructed its officials to allow journalists with accreditation to vote tomorrow.

However some journalist cannot find their names in the list.

“The Commission has instructed its officers to allow media practitioners who have access to the accreditation to vote. As a commission we expect 100 per cent turn out. We expect it to be peaceful, credible and transparent,” she said.
