Lynx Entertainment signee, Kwami Eugene won the coveted prize as the Artiste of the Year at the just ended VGMA awards at the International Conference Centre, Accra.

It came as a shock to many who were expecting either Kofi Kinaata or Sarkodie to win the top most award of the night. However, Kofi Kinaata took home three awards, songwriter of the year, highlife song of the year and most popular song of the year.

Kwami Eugene was contending with Sarkodie, Kofi Kinaata, Diana Hamilton and Medikal. Kidi, also a signee of Lynx Entertainment also took home the Album of the year
