The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has parried claims by former president John Dramani Mahama that the governing party has developed cold feet since he decided to contest the 2024 general election.
According to the NPP, the former president is no threat to them, “and he will go down as a former president who lost three elections in the history of the Fourth Republic,” the National Organiser of the Party, Henry Nana Boakye said.
He noted that the signs are on the wall that the former president is going to lose the 2024 general elections.
He said the former president was not a threat to the NPP’s victory come the next elections.
Nana B as he is popularly called expressed the party’s determination to beat the former president handsomely in the 2024 elections.
”As a party, we are aware some people in the NDC are not happy about former president Mahama’s coming back,” he remarked.
He noted that the 2024 general elections are going to be a platform to compare records for Ghanaians to see.
“The NPP’s records are far better than that of the National Democratic Congress.
“We have a record we are proud of,” he said.
Former President John Dramani Mahama has said out of the four flagbearer aspirants of the NDC, the governing NPP is afraid of him.
