
Some officials of the Ghana Football Association have paid a visit to the deceased and survivors of the gruesome accident that happened at Offinso.
The officials of the FA visited the coach and the Team manager of the African Vision Academy as wells the players that survived the incident at various hospitals in the Ashanti region.
Ten of the victims have been treated and has been discharged from the St. Patrick’s Hospital while six of them who sustained various degrees of injuries are at the Namong SDA hospital with three at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital currently.
Seven players have lost their lives as a result of the accident and the officials visited the bereaved families to commiserate with them.
The officials were Executive Council member Frederick Acheampong, Ashanti Regional Football Association Chairman, Osei Tutu Agyemang, members of the Offinso District Football Association, officials of the clubs in the affected District, members of the Juvenile Football Association.
A total of 34 members of the juvenile side (including 16 players on-loan from Sky Academy) were on board the vehicle that crashed into river Offin on Saturday due the driver losing control of the steering wheel due to overspeeding.
