
Chief Executive Officer of the Micro Finance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC) Mr Stephen Amoah has said that although criminal happenings consisting of killings of important personalities have happened in the nation in recent times, security can not be stated to have broken down.
Stephen Amoah said “We need to tackle this issue from the base before we can see any results. In every society, there’s something called social stratification and we can’t say we will protect everyone equally but at least efforts has to be made.”
He was speaking on TV3’s New Day in connection with the murder of the Member of Parliament for Mfantseman Ekow Quansah Hayford who was shot dead that the Abeadze Dominase-Mankessim road when he was returning from a campaign tour.
Interior Minister, Ambrose Dery has however deployed 200 police officers to secure Members of Parliament (MPs) following with the murder of Mr. Hayford.
Mrs Ophelia Hayford, the wife of the late MP has been settled by the New Patriotic Party to replace him on the ticket of the party for 2020 elections.
