Vice President and Vice Presidential Candidate of the NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has challenge Ex-President Mahama to name simply one heritage which his supposed program for the development of the north part of Ghana, the Savanna Accelerated Development Authority (SADA), left.
Attending to a durbar in his honour by the chiefs and people of Tatale Traditional area on Friday, September 4, Dr Bawumia defined SADA as “a huge and inexplicable waste of taxpayer resources”, and also shared disgust at the aloof fashion in which previous President Mahama’s administration manipulated the people of the north and also thrown away millions of dollars under the guise of developing the north through SADA.
” Where is the legacy of SADA?” he asked.
“They said they have invested in tree planting. We say where are the trees? They say they have all been burnt by fire.”
“The SADA programme under John Dramani Mahama was a monumental and inexplicable waste of taxpayer resources. A monumental and inexplicable waste and you are dealing with our people; the poor people of the north. And you take money meant for their development into guinea fowl-flying schemes.”
The Vice President stated unlike previous Head of state Mahama, President Akufo-Addo has actually proven to be a leader who really cares about advancement for all.
“Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is a different type of leader. He is a leader who talks development and does development, he noted.
“This is why you’re seeing all these projects across Tatale Sanguli and other parts of the north. President Akufo-Addo is a leader who believes in inclusive development, and the true development of the northern part of the country.”
Narrowing the government’s development schedule to Tatale Sanguli constituency, Dr. Bawumia said the government of Akufo-Addo has done much more in three and half years for the area than the NDC did in 8 years.
” What we have performed in the past three-and-a-half years in Sanguli is more than what the NDC carried out in eight years as well as they need to come and also test as well as reveal us what they did.”
He prompted the chiefs and also individuals of the location, to remain to support Head of state Akufo-Addo, that has maintained faith with them, and also not somebody who stopped working the north.
“What we have done in the past three-and-a-half years in Sanguli is more than what the NDC did in eight years and they should come and challenge and show us what they did.”
“Former President Mahama failed you and he now says you should give him another chance so that he will come and do the job that someone is already doing.”
He prayed that the chiefs and people will support the President who faith in the people of the North and not Mahama failed the north when he was in power.
“Nana Akufo-Addo is already doing the job and he is someone you can trust so why change someone you can trust for the person who failed you?”

He is currently on a 10-day visit of the Northern Regions.
