The Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress, NDC, Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo says the country under the governing NPP is sinking and has hit rock bottom accusing the government of moving the country backwards instead of moving it forward.
“We the people of this noble country, are now at this critical juncture. We cannot sink any further than we have. We are at rock-bottom. The incumbent party is not only confused and exhausted, President Akufo-Addo is digging an even deeper hole which if not stopped, we compel all of us to be buried alive. I, therefore, call on all our countrymen and women and every citizen, to go to the poll in December and with one big push rescue Ghana and Ghanaians from this affliction. Enough is enough, give us your mandate and hold us to account for things that you find in this manifesto. Vote for President Mahama and let us together move Ghana in the right direction because indeed Ghana must work again,” he said.
He made this assertion at the launch of the NDC’s manifesto the University of Professional Studies (UPSA) in Accra dubbed ‘The People’s Manifesto’.
Addressing the party supporters, he urged Ghanaians to vote for the and called this year’s the ‘Rescue Mission’. The Chairman also charged Ghanaians to hold them accountable on their promises when they return to power.
“Give us your mandate and hold us to strict account of the things that you find in this manifesto. Vote for President John Dramani Mahama and let us together move Ghana in the right direction because indeed Ghana must work again. Vote for the John and Jane ticket for jobs and prosperity for all not a few”.
