The Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Samuel Ofosu Ampofo said the party didn’t just appoint a few people to stay in their offices and draft a manifesto rather the went down to the people to ask them of what they want the country to be.
Speaking at the party’s launch of manifesto at the UPSA, Mr. Samuel said “In developing the NDC manifesto, the committee departed from the norm and went down to the people who provided the material that has been written down to as our social contract when we assume the reins of government early next year.”
Taking a swipe at the NPP, the Chairman claimed that most of the projects that the NDC could not complete has been abandoned by the governing party.
” We left so many projects of which some were 90% complete but have been abandoned by the NPP. In fact, I am changing the name from NPP to APP which Abandoned Project Party.”
The launch was graced by some party ‘big wig’ like the MP for Nadowli Kaleo, Hon. Albin S.K. Bagbin, Alex Mould, the former head of the GNPC, Asiedu Nketia, General Secretary, Dan Abodakpi, Haruna Idrissu, the MP for Tamale, amongst others.
