Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are monitoring the future of Real Madrid midfielder Isco, according to the Sunday Mirror.
The 29-year-old’s fate will be decided in the near future when he meets with new manager Carlo Ancelotti. The attacking midfielder has a year left on his deal and a renewal is looking unlikely, so Real Madrid must move him on this summer if they are to get a reasonable transfer fee. But the player commands at least £6 million in wages, which will complicate any deal.
The Gunners are looking for an attacking midfielder following the departure of Martin Odegaard, who impressed in his loan stint in London from Real Madrid. But Spurs are able to offer European football, as they compete in the inaugural UEFA Europa Conference League.
AC Milan, who have Champions League football, are also interested in Isco, so there will be added competition for the Spaniard, whether he leaves this summer or next.
Isco joined Madrid in 2013 from Malaga for £27m, and has made over 300 La Liga appearances. But he has started only 34 league games in the last three seasons and is seen as surplus to requirements.
