Carlo Ancelotti gives Ole Gunnar Solskjaer advice on how to handle Man Utd pressure

Carlo Ancelotti has told Ole Gunnar Solskjaer that pressure will always fall on his shoulders as he battles to turn around Manchester United’s indifferent form.

The Italian will be aiming to inflict more pain on the Norwegian when his Everton side host the Red Devils.

Ancelotti has seen his side lose consecutive games which has halted their early momentum.

He has been tasked with guiding Everton to the upper echelons of the Premier League having bought in several summer imports.

It adds to the pressure he is under to deliver success, but the former Real Madrid and AC Milan boss insists pressure is a part of the job that needs to be treasured.

“In general I have sympathy for all managers, it is a difficult job,” he said.

“I have more experience than Ole and I can say to him that when things are not good there is only one (person) responsible and that is the manager.

“Every manger is under pressure and I can say the pressure we have is a privilege so we have to be good to analyse ourselves but with a good mind.

“It’s not as much pressure as is on someone who has to get up at 4am for work.”

United have lost back-to-back games following defeats against Arsenal and Istanbul Basaksehir.

They currently languish in the bottom half of the league with Solskjaer having to deal with rumours about his job.

United have reportedly contacted Mauricio Pochettino about possibly taking over at Old Trafford.

Solskjaer though is confident he has the club’s backing as he approaches his second anniversary in charge of the club he represented for 11 years as a player.

Ancelotti’s Everton drew 1-1 with United when the two last met in March last year.
