The Minister for the Interior, Mr Ambrose Dery, has approved a request made by the three-member Ministerial Committee to be given six more days to probe the shooting incident and killings in Ejura in the Ashanti region.
The Committee, chaired by Justice Koomson, was expected to submit its report by today, Friday, 9 July 2021.
The Committee was tasked to submit a detailed report with its recommendations for appropriate action within 10 days.
But in a letter signed by the Secretary to the Committee, Marie-Louise Simmons, on 7 July 2021, the committee requested an extension of the deadline to Friday, 16 July 2021.
Mr Dery, in response to the request, indicated in a letter dated 8 July 2021: “Your request for the extension of the working period from Friday, 9th July 2021 to Friday, 16th July 2021, is, hereby, approved”.
