The Committee set up by the Interior Minister to investigate into the Ejura killings will begin sitting today at the Assembly Hall of Prempeh College in Kumasi.

The three-member committee, under the chairmanship of His Lordship Justice George Kingsley Koomson, will receive evidence from witnesses at 10am each day.

Professor Vladimir Antwi-Danso, a security expert and Ms Juliet Adiema Amoah, Executive Director of Penplusbyte are the other members of the committee.

It will be recalled that the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo directed the Interior Minister, Ambrose Dery to conduct a public enquiry and produce a detailed report with recommendations into the matter.

This follows the shooting of two people by security personnel during a protest by the youth of the area over the death of social activist, Ibrahim Kaaka.
