The application which was filed on Tuesday, 2 February 2021 by John Dramani Mahama, to inspect documents of the Electoral Commission is anticipated to be ruled on by the Supreme Court today.
The presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress, who is currently challenging the results of the 2020 presidential elections has presented two witnesses, Asiedu Nketia and Michael Kpessa Whyte who appeared before the court to give evidences and get cross-examined.
John Dramani Mahama, through his legal team, wants to obtain the EC’s original constituency presidential election result collation forms for all constituencies, regional presidential election summary sheets for all regions, constituency presidential election results summary sheet, and the declaration of the presidential results form.
This application was filed after the EC turned down John Mahama’s earlier requests to gain access to the above documents.
