Fire has gutted the Koforidua market in the Eastern Regional.
The fire started on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at 10: 15am.
Personnel from the Ghana Fire Service though arriving late at the scene has been able extinguish the fire from spreading.
The fire according to eyewitnesses was caused by an electric fault from the main power supply pole of electricity company of Ghana which spread to the three shops.
The shops contained electricals, clothes and plastics worth thousands of Ghana Cedis.
