Lockdown has allowed a slew of celebrities to welcome little ones without us being any the wiser.
And Idris Elba is the latest celebrity to reveal that his wife, Sabrina Dhowre welcomed the couple’s first child.
He let the big news slip while promoting his new film, Concrete Cowboy at the Toronto International Film Festival.
He revealed that he was a father to two boys, so the couple welcomed a son in recent months.
Speaking to ET Canada, he said: ‘It really resonates with me, I’m a father of two boys, and definitely I can’t wait for my youngest to see this film.’
The actor, who is favourite to take over as 007, is also a father to 18-year-old daughter Isan and 6-year-old son Winston, whom he has from previous relationships.
So, now we know that he is a proud father of three! He didn’t share much more details about his little one, but we are overjoyed for the pair.
It comes after Idris revealed that both he and Sabrina were tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this year.
In an interview with Radio Times, he confessed it was ‘traumatic’ and he feels ‘lucky to be alive and thankful for being able to kick’ the illness.
‘I was asymptomatic so I didn’t get the major symptoms everyone else got. Mentally, it hit me very bad, because a lot was unknown about it,’ he confessed.
He did not mention how Sabrina coped with the illness.
Idris and Sabrina first began dating around March 2017 before he popped the question at a London screening of his film Yardie in February 2018.
The couple tied the knot in an absolutely stunning wedding in Morocco towards the end of 2019.
