The Member of Parliament for Assin Central Constituency has file a new application to the High Court to stop Justice Amos Wuntah Wuni from presiding over the contempt case brought against him.
He says the Judge will be biased if he continues to hear the case.
His lawyers in the application said “since his Lordship Amos Wuntah Wuni’s authority to exercise his jurisdiction in the committal proceedings is in issue, it will be bias and prejudicial for his Lordship to be a judge in his own court in the exercise of such questionable jurisdiction.”
Kennedy Agyapong was charged with contempt for insulting a Judge on his television station, NET2 TV after the judge pass a judgement without his knowledge on an ongoing land case involving him.
He risk a jail term or a fine if he is found guilty.
