Gabby Otchere-Darko, a member of the New Patriotic Party has taken a swipe at former President, John Mahama to learn from his one term presidency and not President Donald Trump.
The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress said Donald Trump’s defeat in the just ended US election should be a lesson to Ghanaian politicians.
He said in an interview on TV3 that leaders should not abusive the power that have been given them by the people else they will be voted out out just like what happened to Mr. Trump.
But reacting to Mahama’s comment on Twitter, the former Executive Director of the Danquah Institute said “Really. But, Mahama’s own one term is the lesson – even to himself. Bottom line, when you are offered the mighty opportunity to lead a nation, don’t ‘screw it up’. You did, John Mahama.”
