The flagbearer of the United Front Party (UFP), Nana Agyenim Boateng has sued the Electoral Commission over his disqualification from contesting the December polls.
Mr. Boateng was part of five candidates that were disqualified by the EC.
He was disqualified for fake signatures and the people that signed for him denied signing his nomination forms.
However, he has on a number of interviews denied the allegations.
According to him, he has been granted a court injunction on the EC’s processes till November 2, 2020.
Before the suit, Nana Agyenim Boateng said he will sue the EC in court upon hearing his disqualification.
But, the Electoral Commission said that it is bent on delivering a free, fair, credible, transparent and peaceful election.
