The National Communication Officer of the National Democratic Congress, Sammy Gyamfi has refuted claims that the NDC is begging to re-appear on Peace FM’s morning show, Kokrokoo.
The NDC boycotted the Peace FM in May this year accusing the host, Kwame Sefa Kayi of been bias and a dictator.
Sammy Gyamfi back then issued a statement saying “The National Communication Bureau of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) wishes to inform all its communicators, media monitors, and officials that the party has boycotted Peace (104.3) FM’s morning show (Kookrokoo) effective today, Wednesday, 6th May 2020”.
Reports making rounds says that the NDC wants to appear on the station again but in a tweet, Sammy says the party is not begging to appear on the show describing it as an ‘overhyped platform’.
“For the records, the NDC has never and will never beg to appear on Peace FM’s Kookrokoo. The Comm. Bureau that I lead, does not intend to ever return to that show. The NDC brand is far greater than that overhyped platform. Our boycott still stands. Ignore the lies. #BaakoLied” he tweeted.
