Neymar has backed up Lionel Messi after the Argentine superstar slammed the Barcelona board for their treatment of Luis Suarez.
Uruguay star Suarez completed a move to La Liga rivals Atletico Madrid earlier this week after six years playing alongside close friend Messi.
In his emotional tribute to the 33-year-old, Messi blasted Barca for “throwing out” Suarez, adding: “You deserved a farewell that fit with who you are: one of the most important players in the history of the club.”
And Neymar, once a vital component of the infamous ‘MSN’ attacking trident alongside Messi and Suarez, has echoed his former teammate’s message.
Replying to Messi’s Instagram post, the Brazilian wrote: “Incredible how they do things,” accompanying his message with a facepalm emoji.
Former Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas also gave the six-time Ballon d’Or winner a show of support by posting a number of applause emojis underneath the post.
Suarez’s exit from Camp Nou was confirmed on Wednesday night and he departs with a Champions League winners’ medal and four La Liga and Copa del Rey titles to his name.
The striker was in tears as he sent a parting message to the Blaugrana faithful, saying: “I will always be grateful. Everyone knows the effort I made to fulfil a dream.
“I always said this was the best club in the world. I’m aware that a chapter is ending. I have been here many years and have made a lot of friends. That makes me happy.
“To say goodbye to people at the club and for them to see that not only a player was leaving, but also a human being with feelings.
“My family know the suffering I experienced. But my children got to see me lift trophies, score goals, and they got to see me alongside the best in history (Lionel Messi). That will stay in the memory.”
