Nicki Minaj describes violence in Nigeria as senseless

American female rapper, Nicki Minaj has described the shooting of protesters in Nigeria as senseless.

Reacting on Twitter, she said she is praying for the country.

“Standing with & praying for the brave young people of Nigeria who are on the front lines of this senseless violence. Your voice is being heard,” Nicki tweeted.

This follows the military reportedly opening fire on protesters at Lekki on Tuesday, October 20, 2020.

Social media has also been inundated with videos of the brutalities at the location where the incident happen.

Rihanna, Naomi Campbell and Beyoncé have also added their voice to the situation in Nigeria.

Nigerians however are calling for the head of their President,  Mahammadu Buhari to resign.
