Vice presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, states it is high time the will of the people is given mainstream administration, for this reason the NDC’s People’s manifesto.
She intimates that the times when leaders stay in Accra and draft policy for the people are long gone.
“We must make sure the exact cry of the people is incorporated into policy documents to ensure the people benefit directly”..
She made this known when she took her campaign trip to Kwasiadukrom in the Bodi constituency of the Western North Region.
Addressing the chiefs and people in the town, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang stated the NDC’s yet to be introduce policy is a file that will certainly resolve the demands of the people in the direction of national development.
She mentioned that ‘The Big Push’ agenda in the manifesto, for example, when applied will make sure job creation for many people, adding that the youth will be given hands-on skills training and projects begun by the NDC government, which have actually been deserted by the present government, will be finished.
Prof. Opoku-Agyemang especially called on women to rally behind the John and Jane ticket, specifically as concerns impacting women as well as children, are on top of the NDC’s agenda.
