The President, Nana Akufo-Addo has said that the expansion of the economy under his government is for Ghanaians to see.
He said unlike under Mahama, he has expanded the economy through prudent policies introduced into the country.
Speaking on Metro TV’s Good Evening Ghana, the President said “I think with the expansion of the economy, we have all seen it. Until covid the economy was growing at an average rate of 7%,”
Nana Akufo-Addo also said before he took the mantle from Mahama, Ghana was importing food from neighboring countries but with the implementation of Planting for Food and Jobs, the country is now exporting.
“I think agric is one of the major successes of the last four years, with the programme of the Planting for Food and Jobs. Ghana was an importer of food which we saw under Mahama. Today, it is a net exporter of food.” he added.
