Former President John Mahama has promised to end the double track that is currently been run under the Free SHS.
He said he will eliminate the system by completing the Day Schools he started during his tenure. He also said he will construct new structures such as dormitories, classrooms and libraries for Senior High schools.
The Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress also promised to give mothers a four month maternity leave instead of the three months and will also give fathers a week paternity leave to help their wives.
John Mahama also promised to build a campus for University of Energy and Natural Resources in Berekum and legalize okada if he is given the nod in the upcoming elections.
He promised to build a cashew factory the Bono and Bono East regions to support farmers in terms of value addition.
Mr. Mahama was addressing the queen mother and elders of Berekum as part of his tour in the Bono Region on Monday, September 28, 2020.
